When moving back from the States to the UK I blew a power supply on one of my linux servers (I had forgotten to switch the voltage from 110 to 240). I bought a replacement 300W Jeantech ATX-3001-200 but found that to be too noisy. I bought a 430W Seasonic S12 (12cm fan). The noise has been reduced dramatically. To be honest I'm not sure I can hear the power supply at all now - I think I'm hearing the CPU fan, maybe this will be my next project?

A friend recommended silentpcreview.com. I found this page recommending different power supplies. I went for the first appropriate one on the list, which was the Seasonic. I bought it here.
