6th December

one The year is almost to an end - we've changed countries, I've changed job, and we're about to change house (hopefully)! Molly has had her first birthday, and is now walking. I finished the first cut of The Carmarthenshire Historian; and I raced at Eastway for the final time. Quite a year.

We're looking forward to Christmas - which will hopefully be in our new home, just around the corner from our current house in Beckenham.

It has taken a year to find a house; one that Janet and I can both agree on (and afford). But, finally, it looks like it might happen. It's a four bedroom house near the station. And is close to the school for Molly. We're all very excited. Janet has taken on the roll of official Project Manager - and is keeping everybody in the chain on their toes. Wish us luck.

10th October

Whoops. It's been 3 months since we last updated this, but it's been a busy few months including two holidays - in Italy with the Ball family and a last minute trip to Greece with the Jose family (Paul, Debs, Amy and Harri) and Mamgu. Molly spent most of her time off with Mamgu so it was a lovely break for me! The reason for the last minute holiday is that Chris has got a new job which is going well so far (but then this is only his second day).

Molly has changed a lot as well - crawling and attempting to walk (though she is prone to toppling over). She has just got over Chicken Pox and now has three molars coming through, so it's not been the best couple of weeks for her.

Anyway I will attempt to update this a bit sooner next time - especially as it's less than a month to Molly's first birthday. So get your party hats out now...

11th July

Molly Italy Italy, if you haven't noticed, have won the World Cup. In the absence of Wales, Italy are my adopted team - my grandfather was Italian.

We watched the game at our local Italian restuarant, which had a great atmosphere. I must say though, the place went a little quiet when Zidane converted a penalty early on in the first half. But it all came good in the end. Along for the ride were a few American friends - Sam, Deirdre and Rob - they enjoyed themselves, although they thought the game would benefit from more goals - "maybe you guys could make the goal posts wider" was I think the comment - thanks for that.

It was also Molly's first World Cup - we "allowed" her to stay up late to watch the game - which I thought was very un-selfish of her parents (oops - we couldn't find a baby sitter). She seemed to enjoy it though - but thought people were a little too rowdy during the penalties!

And guess what? We are off to Italy at the end of the week on holiday - can't wait.

26th April

Just a thankyou to everyone who joined us for Molly's dedication - and to everyone who gave Molly presents. We weren't expecting them, but really appreciated it. We had a fabulous weekend and even made it up the Tor for champagne and balloons again (but the sky wasn't as blue as two years ago!).

We were having so much fun that we forgot to take many photos though, so if anyone has any nice ones we'd appreciate copies (whether digital or paper). Thankyou...

27th March

We will be holding a dedication service for Molly on 23rd April at Glastonbury Methodist Church, Lambrook Street. The service will start at 10:45a.m., followed by a walk up the Tor - weather permitting! We (& Molly) would very much like to see you. This is an extra special date for us as it coincides with our 2nd wedding anniversary.

Food? A buffet at Janet's parents house will be available after the service.

Let us know if you can come,

23rd March

A quick update - we've put an offer in on a house, and it has been accepted! Trying not to get too excited, as the British housing market is fraught with potential pitfalls. The house is in Greenwich, which would mean a much better commute for me - a fifteen minute ride on the DLR to Canary Wharf.

I'm also cycling back and forth to work, 20 miles round trip. And I've started racing at Eastway again. The commute is going well, the racing not so well. I lasted 20 minutes out of 60 in last Sunday's race - but I figure you have to start somewhere.

I had a great trip to Whistler, having my first powder experience. But if you see Janet, don't tell her I had a great time - she's very jealous - I told her that it was awful, and that she probably had a much better time looking after Molly ;-). I'll post some photos when I get my gallery server back up and running. We are currently having the front room replastered after a leak from upstairs (don't ask), so I've had to move my machines around a little - should be back up and running soon though.

We're all suffering from colds at the moment, but otherwise fine.

15th February

Molly and gang Whoops. It's been so long since we posted anything on this site that people have started querying whether Molly is still around, or whether we've handed her back. Well, you'll be glad to know we HAVE decided to keep her and that she's as gorgeous as ever - chatting and playing by herself on her mat at the moment. She is just starting to teeth though - uh oh - which isn't fun when the moment hits. Poor love.

Anyway we've finally added some more photos to the site. Highlights include: Beth and Amelia meeting their cousin Molly, a day out to Leeds Castle with the Ealings and Uncle Tony and Auntie Edith, and a visit by Auntie Fran (cultural auntie).

Also online is our final album from New York which includes quite a few cute photos of Molly, some photos of Spotty Molly (especially for Gill) and hundreds of pics of New York at night which might be of less interest to you...

We've also been to visit Mum and Dad in Glastonbury and the McCourties in Dorset, but - errr - forgot to take more than a handful of photos.

2nd January

Happy New Year!! We are in the middle of packing, ready for our move back to London, so the apartment is a complete mess. But there is something very theraputic about having a big clear out - we have thrown away a lot of stuff.

Anyway, on with the packing, see y'all in London from the 5th onwards!
