I found two ways to get downtown from my hotel:

• Taxi, approx $25CAN.
• Public transport. Catch the number 34 bus along Eglington Avenue to Sheppard-Yonge subway station. The bus goes right into the subway station and is the last stop. Then catch the downtown train heading for Downsview, yellow line. One ticket is good for both the bus and subway, and costs $2.50CAN (one way). It can be bought on the bus, but make sure you have correct money, the bus doesn't give change.
